The enclosure uses a sealed metal housing with an IP67 ingress rating and NEMA 4 classification for resistance to dust, water, and outdoor exposure. Internal circuitry includes monitoring for voltage range, current flow, and thermal conditions with automatic reset capability. The system is designed for use with standard North American EV and PHEV charging interfaces.

Current Flow and Output Control

The charger connects to a dedicated 240V outlet using either a NEMA 14-50 plug or NEMA 6-50 configuration, depending on model. Output is delivered through a SAE J1772 connector, supporting up to 40A charging current depending on circuit capacity. Integrated components include ground fault circuit interruption, overcurrent detection, and voltage regulation. Charging output corresponds to circuit limits with selectable amperage settings for different installation requirements.

Wall Mount and Cable Management

Installation uses the included mounting bracket and backplate cradle secured with provided screws and anchors. The unit can be detached from the bracket using a removable retaining pin for relocation or storage. A 24 ft charging cable supports reach across typical garage or driveway layouts. The package includes plug holder hardware for organized cable routing when not in use.
